Meeting preparation
The highest leverage use of Claude for meetings: preparing thoroughly for the ones that matter.
Stakeholder research brief:
I'm meeting with [person/role] from [company] about [topic].
Here's what I know about them/their company: [what you know]
What should I know going into this meeting? What questions should I be ready for?
What are their likely priorities and concerns?
Preparing for tough questions:
I'm presenting [proposal/plan/results] to [audience].
Here's the core of what I'm presenting: [summary]
What are the 5 hardest questions I might face? For each, what's the strong answer?
Agenda design:
I need to facilitate a 60-minute meeting with [participants] to [objective].
We have pre-read: [what they've seen]. Known tensions: [any conflicts or hard topics].
Design an agenda that reaches the objective and accounts for the known dynamics.
Include timing for each section and facilitation notes.
Meeting follow-up
Raw meeting notes → actionable follow-up is one of the clearest wins:
From raw notes to structured summary:
These are my rough notes from a [meeting type] meeting with [participants].
[PASTE NOTES]
Extract:
1. Decisions made (with who made them)
2. Action items (with owner and due date if mentioned)
3. Open questions that need follow-up
4. Key discussion points that should be in the written record
Format as a meeting summary I can send to attendees.
From transcript to summary: Many recording tools produce transcripts. Claude handles these well:

Summarize: key decisions, action items with owners, key discussion points.
Flag any commitments made by specific people.
Async communication improvement
For high-stakes Slack messages, emails, or documents:
Pre-send review:
I'm about to send this message to [audience]. Is it clear? Is anything likely to be misread?
What's missing? What should I cut?

Difficult conversations:
I need to give [type of feedback] to a team member via written message.
The situation: [describe it]
Draft a message that is: direct, constructive, specific (not general), and maintains the relationship.
Cross-cultural or cross-functional communication:
I wrote this for a technical audience. Rewrite it for a non-technical business audience
who needs to understand the business impact but not the technical details.

The 2-minute follow-up habit
The most effective meeting follow-up practice: immediately after any meeting, spend 2 minutes dictating or typing the key points while they're fresh, then use Claude to turn that into a clean follow-up email or notes doc. The quality of that rough capture is 10x better than trying to reconstruct from memory an hour later.
